    2. Setting of fees for the 2025 Championships

Proposed fees for the 2025 North Island Secondary School Championships and Proposed fees for the 2025 New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships

Karāpiro Rowing Incorporated (KRI) have sought to keep expenses and fee increases at a minimum for 2024/25 season however unfortunately like all New Zealand, KRI is also experiencing the pressures of the current financial climate.

A 5% increase on all expenses has been budgeted, however, Waipa Domain have had a 10% increase across the board for the use of all land, building and water bookings; they have increased the structure of their billing for use of the upper campground to match camping rates, rather than large area booking rates, and rowIT has tabled a 24% increase.

Unfortunately, due to the above we are unable to retain the fees for NISS and Maadi Regatta at current levels and would like to propose the following changes for this year's events:

      1. An increase of $3 for all boat class entry fees and $3 Amenity fee increase for NISS.
      2. An increase of $5 for all boat class entry fees and $5 Amenity fee Maadi.
      3. A 10% increase to tent site hireage for NISS and Maadi.

With these increases KRI are still anticipating a loss of $13700 for NISS and a loss of $48280 for Maadi.

Please refer to the below table for the proposed fee amounts and history.
